Committees

The Presbytery has a number of committees that take particular areas of responsibility

Standing Committee

The Standing Committee meets monthly usually on the second Tuesday at 9am in the Boardroom of UnitingCare Goonellabah.

Membership of the Standing Committee is:

	Presbytery Chair
	Presbytery Deputy Chair
	Presbytery Administrator
	Presbytery Treasurer
	Presbytery Property Convenor
	Presbytery Pastoral Relations Chair
	Presbytery Mission, Education & Evangelism Committee Convenor
	Two ministerial agents
	Two lay persons

Pastoral Relations Committee

The Pastoral Relations Committee meets monthly usually on the first Friday at 9.00am in the Presbytery office at Alstonville.

Membership of the Standing Committee is:

	Pastoral Relations Chair
	Presbytery Chair
	Presbytery Deputy Chair
	Presbytery Administrator
	Two ministerial agents
	Two lay persons

Property Committee

The Property Committee transacts the property business of the Presbytery. This includes:

	Church property inspections
	Manse inspections
	Occupational Health and Safety Issues

Mission Education & Evangelism Committee

The Mission Education and Evangelism Committee has three prime responsibilities:

	To promote mission opportunities in congregations in the Presbytery
	To arrange, promote and encourage lay education
	To promote evangelism opportunities in congregations

Mission Education and Development Funds Committee

The Mission Education and Development Funds Committee accepts grant applications for eduction and mission development projects. Individuals and Church Councils can apply for grants at any time. Grant applicants are expected to contribute to part of the cost of the project.

Presbytery Youth Ministries

This Committee provides a link between congregations engaged in ministry with Youth. Presbytery Youth Ministries arranges camps and other activities within the Presbytery.
